Sauce:
1/4c Ketchup
4tbspHoison
2tbsp Japanese BBQ sauce
Special equipment: a loaf pan (glass or metal)
I recommend serving with Mashed potatoes, gravy, and some Steamed or baked vegetables.
Set the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large pan over medium heat add some oil. Onion and cook until translucent. When translucent add the garlic and cook for about 10 minutes. Set aside until ready to mix with the meat
In the meantime, To a large bowl add the ground beef, mustard powder, ginger, paprika Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the hoisin, ponzu, bbq sauce eggs, and bread crumbs. Evenly incorporate everything together with your hands, and squish it together to the best of your ability so all the seasoning can be mixed. Next, add the sautéd onion and garlic to your meat mixture, put the meaty mixture into a loaf pan, and shape it into a loaf, do your best to shape the meat into a loaf, leaving just a little space in between the meatloaf and the pan So when you cover with the sauce it gets all over the entire loaf. To a small bowl, all all the sauce ingredients and mix.
Bake for about 45 minutes then remove and add the sauce on top. Bake for another 15 minutes uncovered With the sauce. Let cool for a couple of minutes, Cut into slices (like a loaf of bread) serve with sides of choice, and enjoy!
